It is with a heavy heart that I inform the brethren of the passing of Distinguished Brother Leslie "whitey" Turbeville.  Brother Whitey was a vibrant member of our lodge for many years and his presence within our gates will be dearly missed. 

Union Lodge will be having a Masonic memorial service for Brother Whitey during our next stated communication on May 04, 2009 at 07:30 PM.  A special dinner will be served at 06:30 PM.  All brethren are encouraged to come out to celebrate the life and contributions of this great man.

I am very saddened to hear of Whitey's passing, and sorry I just came across it while perusing the web site, or I would have attended the memorial service. I had met Whitey and his wife & had many enjoyable tete-a-tetes while having lunch at the old buffet in Freehold. I had intended to meet up with him for a meeting at Union Lodge, but it did not come to pass, and with the closing of the buffet, our paths did not cross again, and keeping so busy, well....do not put off for tomorrow what you need to do today!
